ABOUT 5TH COMPANY LANE

5th Company Lane Productions strives to bring high-quality, intimate, and accessible theatre to the forefront of the Queen’s and Kingston arts communities. Our mandate operates around three main values: creative, complex and Canadian. As a leading theatre company on campus, many students look to 5th Company Lane for well thought out and provoking pieces of theatre. Our productions give students the chance to be a part of important discussions and ask questions about how we can expand the student theatre community here at Queen’s. In today’s society when our country’s values are being put into question, it’s important to share our past and investigate the future. We always select plays written by Canadian playwrights that relate to the student body and surrounding community. Additionally we are committed to running a safe and inclusive theatre. 5th Company Lane acknowledges the importance of diversity in the theatre and we are committed to actively creating opportunities for people of all identities, genders, ethnicities, and abilities. We honour the land on which we create these productions and give a stage to stories that otherwise wouldn’t be told.
